By: Duifaf Waely

Friday May 6, 2011

On Friday May 6, 2011 the Lebanese Heritage Club held its 23rd annual Arab American Scholarship Foundation Dinner at Hyatt Regency located in Dearborn. The ceremony was to honor the hard work of exceptional Arab American students in the community and provide them with the necessary resources to help better reach their educational goals and career paths. The host of the ceremony was Mr. Ron Savage, Fox 2 news anchor and reporter. Distinguished guests that attended the event were many and included Mr. Henry Heim, deputy chief of the recruitment center at Central Intelligence Agency; Mrs. Pamela Alexander, director of community development fund at Ford Motor Co., and Congressman John Dingell -- just to name a few. Other organizations such as the IHRN and the ADC also attended the event to promote the work of LAHC and show solidarity for what they have done in the community. The event was another successful one that gestured a high essence of optimism for a better future for our children, this great state, and this great unified nation.
