About Us

After three decades of ruling under a dictator who viscously took away lives with no respect to human dignity and wars that seems endless, the Iraqi people are struggling and running out of patience. We are a non-profit 501 (c) (3) organization founded in the year 2007, dedicated to helping and fighting for Iraqi people and their civil rights. Our mission is to focus on helping Iraqis all over the world by aiding them in their needs and strengthening their lives.

The Goals of the Network

For the Iraqis living in their homeland country of Iraq, we will assist them in all their needs and    hardships. This can be done in various ways. Here are a few objectives:

  1. Provide appropriate living conditions for all Iraqis in Iraq.

  2. Help all innocent victims of war and crime through various projects arranged by the Iraqi Human Rights Network.

  3. Provide medical help to young children who have no access to medical treatment and others who have life threatening diseases so that they can be treated.

  4. Assist young orphans who have lost their childhood in the shadow of wars by helping them establish new lives and beginnings.

For the Iraqi immigrants living in the United States and in other immigrant countries, we will help them adjust to their countries of immigration and establish connections between their homeland and their country of immigration. Here are some of the main objectives:

  1. Assist all new Iraqi immigrants to the U.S and other countries by helping them physically and psychologically establish new homes in their countries of immigration.

  2. Activate the interconnections and relationships between Iraqi people and their countries of immigration.

  3. Facilitate the integration and participation of Iraqi immigrants in American society. At the same time, the Iraqi Human Rights Network will work to prevent Iraqi immigrants from disintegration in their countries of immigration.

  4. Provide appropriate conditions for Iraqis to live in, in their countries of immigration.

  5. Resist the disappearance of the sense of belonging to their native country of Iraq, especially among Iraqis in the U.S by organizing language, cultural, social, and sport activities to revive their sense of belonging to their country of origin.

  6. Provide appropriate conditions for Iraqi intellectuals to perform their educational and cultural roles for the benefit of Iraqi immigrants.

  7. Sponsor and protect the intellectual production of Iraqi individuals in small isolated Iraqi communities by providing them with assistance.

  8. Honor Iraqi immigrants for their outstanding accomplishments through special ceremonies.

A Message from the Founder

As an Iraqi myself, I know that there are many obstacles facing Iraqis all over the world. In the United States and all over the world, Iraqi immigrants are struggling to assimilate to their new lives or environments. In Iraq, people are living in poverty and there are many huge crises not given the attention that they deserve. I am constantly contacted by local Iraqis asking for my help as a founder of a civil rights organization. Our organization has participated in various rallies and continues to do its best to help Iraqis by standing up for them and speaking out for their rights. Those living in Iraq should not be dehumanized, forced to live in disease, drink unclean water and live in hardship. And others living outside of Iraq should not be facing pressure to build new lives and identities. We believe this organization is the right organization to undertake such responsibility because we know and understand the difficult circumstances that Iraqis are undergoing everyday all over the world and we are committed to helping them through their struggles. But this can't be done alone, we need generous donations and support from all that are able to help.  Please keep in mind that donations to the Iraqi Human Rights Network will be used to their fullest extent to help the great people of Iraq and all of the Iraqis who have witnessed more destruction than their share. This non-profit organization is an independent institution defending the rights of all Iraqis: Arabs, Kurds, Turkmen, Muslims, Christians and Jews living all over the world. We look forward to a democratic, stable, unified, peaceful, free, and independent Iraq that respects human dignity and fights for civilian rights.

Sincerely,

Said Al-Waely
