The Goals of the Network
The IHRN
has a set of goals for Iraqis and other
Arab American immigrants living in the
United States and in other immigrant
countries. The IHRN will help them
adjust to their countries of immigration
and establish connections between their
homelands and their countries of
immigration. Here are some of the main
objectives:
1. Assist
new Iraqi as well as Arab American
immigrants coming to the U.S. by helping
them physically and psychologically
establish new homes in their countries
of immigration.
2. Activate
the interconnections and relationships
between Iraqi people and their countries
of immigration.
3. Facilitate
the integration and participation of
immigrants in American society. At the
same time, the IHRN will work to prevent
Iraqi and Arab immigrants from
disintegration in their countries of
immigration.
4. Provide
appropriate conditions for immigrants
living in their countries of
immigration.
5. Resist
the disappearance of the sense of
belonging to their native countries of
origin, especially among Iraqis in the
U.S. by organizing language, cultural,
social, and sport activities to revive
their sense of belonging.
6. Provide
appropriate conditions for intellectual
and Iraqi scholars to perform their
educational and cultural roles for the
benefit of Iraqi immigrants.
7. Sponsor
and protect the intellectual production
of Iraqi individuals in communities by
providing them with assistance.
8. Honor
Iraqi immigrants for their outstanding
accomplishments and achievements through
special ceremonies.
9. Conduct
English language and citizenship classes
to educate the adults in the midst of
the growing population of refugees and
immigrants coming to the U.S. and living
in Michigan.
10.
Promote project aimed to give
scholarships to qualified Iraqi and Arab
needy students and provide them with the
necessary resources to help better reach
their educational goals and career
paths.
The IHRN
also has goals abroad. For the Iraqis
living in their homeland country of
Iraq, IHRN will assist them in all their
needs and hardships. This can be done in
various ways. Here are a few objectives:
1. Provide
appropriate living conditions for Iraqis
living in Iraq through collaborative
fundraising and charity events.
2. Provide
medical help to young children and the
disabled who are denied access to
medical treatment and have life
threatening diseases so they be treated.
3. Help
the innocent victims of war and crime
through various projects arranged by the
IHRN.
4. Assist
young orphans who have lost their
childhoods in the shadows of wars by
helping them establish new lives and
beginnings.
